School is Fun!!

Look What We're Studying

The children are enjoying this new unit. They compare different types of seeds and planted some of them. It will be fun to see which ones grow the fastest. While they are growing, we will continue to talk about what plants need to grow. We will also learn more about the parts of a plant.

3's--Everyone needs to bring a Oval and a Rectangle item to school

4's--Everyone needs to bring "W", "X" and "Y" items to school

Activities for the Week of April 19

Religion- Jesus helps the lame man walk

Language Arts-Alphabet Game, puzzles, Boggle Jr., write the

letter Y

Art-Make leaves for our classroom tree, paint the earth

Math-Hi-Ho Cherry O, patterning cards, weigh colored bears

Science- plant flowers, sand table, magnet table, talk about how to help keep the earth clean

Social Studies-USA puzzle, learn about different areas of the globe

Music - Play Piano, learning songs for the May 7th musical

During Discovery Time, the children choose from many different activities. These might include: cutting, gluing, drawing, playing house, doing puzzles, using play dough and playing games. Some of these activities will be the same each day. Some will change. This is a fun time and a great learning time.  The children learn social and communication skills.
